Great travel bag
This backpack is so much better for travel than a regular backpack. I love that it opens like a suitcase and there is room on both sides for clothes and/or shoes. It makes it so much easier to see and find the things you brought. I’ve used it for overnight and weekend trips this winter. I am on the small size so my clothes don’t take up a ton of space but I was able to fit Chelsea style boots and a pair of sneakers along with jeans and a fleece pullover, dress pants, 2 sweaters, a workout outfit, pajamas, and a small makeup bag on the inside of the bag. I stuffed socks etc inside the sneakers and shoes. I was able to fit a full quart sized ziplock in the outside front pocket and didn’t use the smaller front pocket. My surface pro and some cords for nicely in the laptop section. I probably could have stuffed leggings and a tee shirt in as I still had a little room left in the bag. I really like the bag. It’s comfortable to carry on my small frame too. I’ve got lots of compliments on it. It has a trolley strap which will come in handy on a longer trip. Update after taking it on a flight where I was standby and knew I’d be the last to get on the flight. I was given and exit row seat and the back was not completely full but it did NOT fit under the middle seat. Typically bags stick out a bit and that would be fine but I would have had to really made sure it was only about 2/3 full for it to go under the seat in any direction. I still love the bag. It’s comfortable to carry and love the way it packs for when you need to live out of your suitcase for a few days. It met the measurement requirements for under the seat on a large delta plane (3 and 3 seat configuration) but I couldn’t stuff it under the seat.

Awesome backpack to own!
Overall the backpack's looks and quality are as described. Zippers seem to be good quality and water resistant. Functionality is good and also everything is as described. I like the hidden pockets, very practical. I'm not a big fan of black, but this was the only option for the newer model... I will update this review after my first larger trip.Ok. Here is the update after our three-week trip through Costa Rica and Peru. I like the backpack and yes, it is rainproof. I used the backpack as a carry-on and as a 2-day pack when we had to have less weight due to weight restrictions on some of the smaller planes. The bag did well in both scenarios. The zipper pockets on top are easy to access and so is the big padded side pocket for the laptop/Ipad. To access everything inside, it's best to open it up, so you have to think about in advance where to put stuff. I guess this is the only downside I could find. After three weeks in the rainforest, on boats, airplanes, and being dropped on many dirty roads it still looks good. I cleaned it a bit when we came home and the bag looks like new again.I can only recommend it and my wife was jealous the whole trip about the bag. So she is ready to order hers ...

Best bag for your money!
I purchased this bag for an upcoming trip, i'll be traveling for just a couple of days and I've seen the previous model as some of my friends have them and they have nothing but good things to say. So I opted to get the new 2.0 model and see if the bag was everything they were raving about and boy it did not disappoint! I can pack so much in it and it's only a 28L, I'm tempted to get the new 34L leader bag asthe materials are really nice and they come with YKK zippers! It also comes with a laptop compartment as well and the padding on that section will definitely protect my computer. This bag is definitely worth it and I'll be using it for an everyday bag and when I go on weekend trips, I'll be getting the 34L bag and using that one for longer trips as it also comes with a waist belt.

It's not matte black and it's not personal if you don't carry on
Say it's for under the seat and it's personal and it's not carry on and that one won't let me get on the plane and it's supposed to be matte black and it's shiny and inside very bright green

If you're looking for the perfect, this isn't it !
It has too few external pockets. It's a pain opening up the entire backpack to get headphones and Kindle. there is a place for snacks and something small like a phone, but that's about it.

Spacious.
This backpack is super spacious with so many compartments. I love multiple compartments because they allow me to find specific items right away. If you’re going on a short day trip, this backpack is large enough for a couple of outfits and other essentials. The design is just truly awesome and one of the most functional backpacks I’ve ever used.

Cotopaxi Competitor
I generally travel with one bag as carry-on or personal item so I do have a variety of these travel bags for different airline restrictions. This is a competitor to the Cotopaxi Allpa 28L. I have the 35L version of the Allpa so I can compare the features and quality of the COR Surf pack to Cotopaxi. The weight of the COR Surf bag materials are slightly lighter than Cotopaxi. The most noticeable difference between the bags is actually the zippers. Cotopaxi uses a much larger, more durable zipper while COR Surf’s zippers are a more standard size and less robust. The waterproof outer shell of both bags worked about the same. Both bags good for a light drizzle or limited exposure to heavy rains. Both Cotopaxi and COR Surf have fairly similar organization between the bags. Same layout and capacity options available.Functionally, both bags are very similar, but besides the zippers the price is the largest difference. COR Surf is coming in at nearly half the price of Cotopaxi so is the Cotopaxi Allpa worth double? It’s hard having traveled so much with the Allpa to say the COR Surf is the better option based on price. If this is your first travel bag and you’re not looking to spend nearly $200 then COR Surf is the better option. If you’re a more seasoned one bagger, you’ll find the layout and storage options of the COR Surf to be useful, but the materials a bit lacking.Overall, great bag for the price. Can’t recommend COR Surf enough for budget friendly travel packs.
