building nightmare
This product is much darker grey than the promotion photos show, for anthracite grey. It's closer to black. Secondly, construction is quite definitely a two, or even three person task with times when very heavy sections have to be held up at head height, whilst screws and fittings are fixed in place elsewhere. Although I am happy with the overall design, it took considerably longer to construct than I anticipated. Some of the panels are a little marked and chipped and the plans are less than helpful at times. I think the design would benefit from less similar, though different size of screws, fittings and dowels being used, as it got very complicated at times to know which to use. A wee bit more flair in trimmings and colour would make this a fantastic product.

STEER CLEAR!
In principle, it's a great idea for a childs bed, a good sturdy item too. But in reality it looks like a graded item, sold off as a perfect one. Lots of small bits of damage, crudly touched in with some paint that doesn't even match the original colour. One major part of the bed was damaged, making building the thing impossible. So after waiting for the replacement part, my young son is on night number 4, without a bed.Shocking customer service to top it all off. Please don't be seduced by the reasonable price and the fancy pictures. It won't look like it close up!!*Edit. Replacement part eventually turned up, and its for a different sized bed! I give up!!

Does the job but not without its issues
I’m going to try and be fair to this product and I read the reviews before buying (and they where not amazing) but for a small room it serves a specific need that was hard to find in a similar package.Delivery went well, good comms and on time.6 boxes arrived with all the parts but sans a printed manual that I had to print from the manufacturer website (handy there was a pdf there!)99% of the parts arrived in good condition with a small percentage having some cosmetic issues such as small chips on the edge/corners or scratches as others have documented. Speaking honestly here this was not a huge issue to me considering the intended audience and the type of life this bed is likely to have but I appreciate others may have higher standards but I knew this was a risk based on other reviews.I’d put quality somewhere between Argos and Ikea for those who have been blessed with the task of self assembly furniture..The largest thing to consider is how long this takes to build as there are a number of elements that get assembled first then are combined with some parts needing elements to be supported while other sections are added (this is NOT a single person job).To give you some idea I have assembled more furniture than I care to think about so am familiar with the concepts and processes and I had two green but capable 18 year olds helping and an electric screwdriver/Allen key and I would estimate around 5 hours at leisurely pace with the radio on - your mileage may!

Extremely hard to build
Firstly, this is most definitely a 2/3 person job! It has taken the best of 5 hours so far to get it to the point where it is standing on its own and no-one has to damage their back and shoulders balancing parts of it whilst the other person screws bits together! There were a few cracked pieces of wood that we had to secure using extra screws.....still haven't fully assembled it as it's such ridiculous item and the instructions aren't the easiest to read....hoping to have it complete after another hour or 2 but most definitely wouldnt recommend
