Q: what type of blade does this item have? I need a stainless steel blade.

If it was a stainless blade, it was a very low quality. My blade rusted pretty quickly and I bought a package of refills.

Q: Can this scraper remove window tint from glass?

No. the scraper is for fly specs, crashed insects, etc. If you have film plastic, you must get the installer to come back and remove it.

Q: How do you remove the used blade to replace it?

There is a small tab under the safety cap. Use a hard surface to gently push that tab into the scraper, this will release the slide or insert which holds the razor blade. The insert will slide out sideways and the blade can be removed. If the slide becomes stuck, use caution as the blade is extremely sharp.
