Very useful on our recent spring break in Tucson
Very useful on our recent spring break in Tucson. Author's insights were very helpful as he is a Tucson native. However, this edition is showing it's age as actual attraction prices were generally 35% higher than as published, so worth checking web sites in advance.

For once, the hype was right.
I'm always suspicious about raves in guidebooks, especially for restaurants - taste is so subjective and often the most raved-about places are also the most expensive or hippest, which is not what I'm seeking on a family trip. However, this guide was spot-on for nearly every restaurant we tried! I rarely give five stars, but this one deserves it just for the food reviews. I would have liked more small maps in the text of the book, but it was not enough of a quibble to downrate. Good one!

Tim Hull's Tucson book
This book is a wealth of information about Tucson. I would like an additional book updated by Tim Hull by 2017. In the mean time this is terrific and gives you all the best info about what to see, where to visit and most of the yearly festivals too.Tucson is full of history, good restaurants and hikes, etc. Enjoy

This book is pretty outdated at this point
This book is pretty outdated at this point. My bad for not noticing it's from 2013 as I am usually super careful about that. But don't bother buying this. It's pretty irrelevant for restaurants especially and even park fees.

Great vacation companion!
Full of good ideas and good advice for a family trip. Even though it was a few years old, it was still relevant and helpful and, like the best guidebooks, satisfying to read for someone excited about a new place.

My husband and I had never been to Tucson so we wanted a reference point. It definitely accomplished that.

Five Stars
Great coverage of Tucson broken down into zones. Gets you familiar with the area before you even get there.
