After assembly, the heater was moved to the patio for start up. There was a slight breeze; however, nothing that should’ve impacted the functionality. Shortly after starting the heater, I noted flames shooting out the top, which subsequently caused the chestnut finish to catch on fire. One could point to the wind as being the cause; however, I have a propane fire pit with similar finish that has been used continuously in more significant winds and have not experienced this issue. If I can’t safely use the unit in these common weather conditions, then it’s not practical. Now what to do? I ‘m not going to go through the process of returning(disassemble, Box, label, ship). I purchase a lot from Amazon; however, this is the first big box item. Now, I don’t blame Amazon for any issue, but I feel the return process as it relates to these items is easier when purchased from a big box store. Item would have been left assembled and retuned.

I've bought the Fire Sense heater brand before but this one is a step up in price and quality. It's powder coated which I've learned is helpful for longevity. Also, the top heater part is stainless steel, again important for lasting a long time. This is a well made heater and several of us sitting around it are warm during our cool evenings

We are very happy with this model. Got to be a bit patient with the assembly but it works like a charm.

I have 2 large connecting patio's. I already own one firesense patio heater and one other brand heater. My other brand heater is about 15 years old and not available anymore, so I was very worried about ordering another brand heater. I ordered the 1st Firesense heater about a month ago and absolutely love it. Everyone comments on how much heat it puts out. It is hot during the day but our evenings get slightly cool but damp. The heater is perfect to keep that dampness away. I like it so much I ordered a second one for my top patio that has my dining table at it to keep the dampness off the table. Well constructed, very nice looking and worth the money.
